Although the health facilities is Sri Lanka, particularly in urban areas is good; some rural areas still suffer from relatively poor health facilities
The end of the long conflict in the North and Eastern Provinces in Sri Lanka in 2012 has brought the need to rebuild the health system in these areas. However recovery of the health system in these areas is challenging. Responding to immediate health needs of the resettled while looking at the long term recovery of the health system is also important and although there has been a great investment in the health service nationally, these specific areas are still lagging.
